Access Ohio and the ADA 25 Columbus committee are busy planning festivities surrounding Columbus and central Ohio’s recognition of the 25th Anniversary of the ADA. The Columbus celebration will take place Thursday, July 23, 2015, in Downtown Columbus. The ADA Legacy Bus will make a stop in Columbus that day. The planning committee is organizing an Essay Contest for all ages, and an art show by artists with disabilities will also be a featured part of the day. The ADA 25 Columbus committee will announce specific details about its celebration in the coming weeks. The ADA Audio Conference Series provides in-depth information on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This program is designed to enhance an individual's existing knowledge base or facilitate continued learning regarding regulations and trends under the ADA.
The Great Lakes ADA Center is pleased to offer a variety of conferences and training opportunities regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Programs highlighted on this website are either conducted by and/or sponsored by the Great Lakes ADA Center. We are a member of the ADA National Network.
The Department of Justice is pleased to announce that, as of today, individuals wishing to file ADA complaints with the Department will be able to fill out the form and submit it completely electronically. Filers will also immediately receive a "reference number" that can be used whenever contacting the Department about that complaint. Please visit www.ada.gov to view the new electronic form. Effective March 15, 2015, e-mail complaints will no longer be accepted by the Department. However, complaints will still be accepted by U. S. mail. Contact the Department's ADA Information Line at 1-800-514-0301 (v); 1-800-514-0383 (tty) to receive a paper complaint form by mail.
