The Center for Disability Empowerment is providing an advocacy workshop for any person with any disability, friends or family on our rights under the ADA as they relate to accessible transportation.

What You Will Able To Take Away From This Training

• Knowledge of your personal rights under federal law as a person with a disability related to access to transportation.
• What the responsibilities of transportation providers are under federal law.
• Effective strategies for self-advocacy.
• Knowing who the enforcement agencies are related to the Americans with Disabilities Act and Transportation; when it’s appropriate to file a complaint and how to file it.
• Connection to a larger community with shared concerns and challenges.
