Self-Defense for People with Disabilities

Martial Arts expert Brian Lentz of EZ Defense will train us on the ABC’s of FAST Defense


Awareness:
  • Recognize warning signs of attack and avoid threatening situations before they become dangerous.
  • Avoid attackers by not looking like a victim.

  • Use the power of your voice and body language.
  • Stop confrontations and assaults with assertive communication and good boundary skills.
  • Find and utilize the power of your fear, not be paralyzed by it.
Core Confidence (Combat):
  • And when all else fails, protect yourself and your loved ones with simple & effective FULL FORCE techniques to the attacker’s vulnerable areas.
 
Students will learn how to manage threatening situations and a stress induced adrenaline release, using it positively to:
  • Avoid, defuse and, when absolutely necessary, stop violence directed at us; 
  • Perform well when addressing the many daily pressures we face; 
  • Manage (the) various challenges we face in our personal lives and relationships; 
  • Manage and change our internal, negative self-talk; 
  • Develop self-esteem and ensure physical and psychological well-being;
  • Learn to manage situations in a positive manner;
  • Develop unshakeable core confidence.
